Once Upon A Dream

As if she drank the moonlight

when the night had fallen,

They shone with a twinkle

this morning, her eyes.

Each word, each syllable was

dipped in honey mayhap;

yes, they who listened to her

were enchanted today, it carried a

lilt of some unheard melody, her voice.

She saw the world today

as if dawn had painted it

in colors tinted with pixie dust,

her feet tapped to a rhythm

she hadn’t heard before,

the world was suddenly

a magical place, cause she was

kissed by a dream today.

Vertigo

Looking into those depths,

the depths of your eyes, I

strive to find a piece of

your soul, a fragment of

the true you that you

keep hidden behind all those

masks. I long to peel them off

wishing to witness you,

the essence of your very heart

and steal some of it maybe.

Alas, I get only a glimpse and

your walls come up again.

I get this feeling of vertigo

again and again when you’re near

Tell me, will you catch me

were I to fall, fall like a

hopeless fool for you?
